This win marks Missouri’s first entry into the “billion-dollar lottery prize winners” list. Missouri is already known for its luck. It ranks second behind Indiana in total Powerball jackpot winners. The Missouri Lottery states that winners may remain anonymous unless they consent to release their names.

In Texas, the winner must claim at Austin headquarters. Groups can also claim if the ticket was bought by more than one person, but one claimant must represent the group. Both states stress that signing the ticket is vital to protect ownership.
