The second week of the CrossFit Open moved to Portugal on Sunday as Dave Castro revealed the 26.2 CrossFit Open workout during a live announcement from CrossFit Black Edition. As is customary for the weekly reveal, the workout was followed immediately by a head-to-head test on the competition floor.

The challenge announced for Week 2 is a 15-minute test for time built around repeated segments of overhead walking lunges, dumbbell snatches and increasingly demanding pull-up variations.
Athletes begin with an 80-foot overhead walking lunge, performed in 20-foot segments. That opening effort leads directly into 20 dumbbell snatches using a 50-pound weight for men and 35 pounds for women, followed by 20 pull-ups.
The structure then repeats with a similar opening sequence. Another 80-foot overhead walking lunge is paired with 20 dumbbell snatches, but the pulling movement advances to 20 chest-to-bar pull-ups, increasing the technical demand.
The final section raises the standard again. Competitors complete a third 80-foot overhead walking lunge and 20 dumbbell snatches before finishing with 20 ring muscle-ups. All work must be completed within the 15-minute time cap.
Moments after Castroâs announcement, three athletes stepped forward to take on the test. Lucy Campbell, Aimee Cringle and Mirjam von Rohr were the first to tackle the workout in the live demonstration.
Von Rohr entered the floor with momentum after winning the opening weekâs workout, 26.1. Sundayâs test presented a different mix of movements, combining loaded lunges and repeated dumbbell work with a progression through classic gymnastics skills.
The format creates a steady build in difficulty as athletes move deeper into the workout. Pull-ups give way to chest-to-bar repetitions, and the final round demands ring muscle-ups, one of the sportâs most technically demanding movements.
The repeated lunging segments also shape the pacing. Each 80-foot carry must be completed before returning to the dumbbell and rig, creating a rhythm that alternates between moving under load and high-rep pulling.
With the announcement now complete, athletes across the CrossFit Open field will begin attempting the 26.2 workout under the same 15-minute time limit.
