Jahid Ikbal : Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Khilkhet Thana has achieved a major success in two separate night operations. Based on secret intelligence, the police team arrested a total of nine individuals, including those possessing 6 kg of Shisha (Hookah), a large quantity of consumption equipment, and suspects with outstanding warrants in regular cases. This strict stance by the police against crime and drugs has brought a sense of relief to the area.

Strike on Shisha Distribution Ring: Huge Cache of Equipment Recovered
According to Khilkhet Thana sources, an astute police team from the station conducted a raid on a specific residence in the Khilkhet Thana area on Thursday (December 11, 2025) around 8:15 PM, acting on confidential information. Two individuals were present there for the purpose of selling shisha and related consumption items.
The following people were arrested red-handed during the operation:
* Md. Azizur Rahman (43), and
* Mintu Chandra Pal (42).
Items recovered from their possession include:
* 6 KG of Shisha (which falls under the illegal narcotics list)
* 950 disposable pipes
* 70 spring hose pipes
* 70 silicone heads
* 5 shisha stands
Police suspect that they had been illegally supplying this shisha to affluent areas of the capital for a long time.
7 More Arrested: Police Strict on Regular Cases
On the same day, Khilkhet Thana police conducted a special drive across the area. In this drive, an additional seven people were arrested on charges of having outstanding warrants in regular cases and involvement in various other crimes.
The seven arrested individuals are:
* Md. Wasim Mia (36), 4. Md. Hridoy (20), 5. Md. Arif (21), 6. Md. Munna (20), 7. Md. Ibrahim Khalil (28), 8. Md. Tutul Kazi (35), and 9. Saiful Islam (37).
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khilkhet Thana, Mohammad Abdul Alim, stated that the police operations against drugs and to maintain normal law-and-order situation in the area will continue regularly.
All nine arrested individuals have been sent to the appropriate court through due legal process.
