Afser, Malik elected president, secretary general of DBCCI

ZOOMBANGLA DESK: Anwar Shawkat Afser and Ataus Sopan Malik were elected president and secretary general of the Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce And Industry (DBCCI) respectively for the years 2022-2024.

Afser, Managing Director of Sakhi Lines Ltd. (Sakhi Group), took the charge of president for the third time. He is from an aristocratic family of Bhawal Shah Gazi Family of Gazipur.

Afser is also Managing Director of Sakhi Petroleum Ltd., Sakhi Port Ltd., Proprietor of Sakhi Telecommunication Ltd., etc. Moreover, he is a social activist, member and former leader of many business and social associations. He was the former District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 315-B4, Bangladesh (2005-06), former Council Chairperson of Lions Clubs International, Multiple District 315, Bangladesh (2006-07), Vice President of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission (Chittagong), etc.

Newly secretary general, Ataus Sopan Malik, is the Managing Director of A. R. Malik & Company (Pvt.) Ltd.

Shahid Alam (Vice Chairman of Shah Fatehullah Textile Mills Ltd.), Joint Secretary General Muhammad Risalat Siddique (Chairman of Analizen Bangladesh Ltd.) Director Finance Noafel Bin Reza (Proprietor of Infinity Sourcing), Director Nazmul Haque (Managing Director of Innocent Ltd.) Director Dr. Ahmed Robin Ispahani (Managing Director of Pharmik Laboratories Ltd.), Director M. Rabiul Hossain (Managing Director of M M Associates Ltd.), Director Md. Shah Alam (Managing Director of  Hawar IT Services Ltd.), Director Md.
