K-pop group BTS has released a remix album built around “Swim,” the lead track from its latest album “Arirang,” offering a closer look at each member’s musical sensibility through a set of reworked versions.

The nine-track project, titled “Keep Swimming,” was released Friday, according to the group’s agency BigHit Music. It includes the original recording of “Swim,” an instrumental version, and seven remixes shaped by the individual approaches of the band’s members.
Each reinterpretation leans into a different genre. RM, the group’s leader, takes the song in a restrained hip-hop direction, while Jin’s version introduces a more forceful alternative rock sound. Suga shifts toward melodic techno, layering club-oriented elements over the track’s core structure, and J-Hope brings in Afrobeats influences.
Other members move in contrasting directions. Jimin’s version slows the tempo into an R&B arrangement, while V’s remix explores electronic textures. Jungkook rounds out the set with an acoustic lo-fi version that centers on guitar and subdued vocals.
The album arrives alongside a film project that follows its making. A documentary titled BTS: The Return is scheduled to premiere later the same day on Netflix. The film traces the group’s production process behind the new material, offering a behind-the-scenes view of how the project took shape.
The release keeps the focus tightly on “Swim,” using variation rather than expansion to frame the group’s latest work. By presenting multiple interpretations of a single track, the album underscores the distinct musical directions within the band while remaining anchored to one central composition.
For listeners, the approach offers a different entry point into the same material, shifting tone and mood without altering its core identity. The accompanying documentary is expected to add context to that process, though its reception will likely depend on how closely it reflects the creative decisions heard across the remixes.
