Dhurandhar 2 Advance Bookings Show Strong Start Ahead Of Premiere

The early ticket sales for Dhurandhar 2 are already drawing attention across the Indian film industry, offering the first clear signal of how audiences are responding to the next chapter of the spy thriller franchise led by Ranveer Singh.

With the film’s premiere shows scheduled for March 18, advance booking data suggests a significant early turnout. According to figures reported by Sacnilk, more than 411,000 tickets have already been sold across India for those premiere screenings alone.

The advance sales have generated around Rs 21.4 crore so far. When blocked seats are included in the tally, the total rises to approximately Rs 26.53 crore. For a film that has not yet begun its theatrical run, those numbers point to a solid opening wave of audience interest.

Most of the bookings so far have come from Hindi-language screenings. Data indicates that roughly 381,735 tickets were sold for Hindi shows, while Tamil-language screenings accounted for about 17,633 tickets. Other language versions make up the remaining share.

Regional ticket sales reflect a familiar pattern seen with major Hindi releases in recent years.

The National Capital Region has recorded the highest pre-sales revenue at about Rs 4.87 crore. Mumbai follows closely with Rs 4.69 crore, while Bengaluru has generated around Rs 3.55 crore from advance bookings.

Across states, Maharashtra currently leads the chart with roughly Rs 6.74 crore in pre-sales. Karnataka stands next with around Rs 3.95 crore, while Hyderabad contributes about Rs 1.94 crore. Tamil Nadu and Kerala also show steady demand, with advance sales reported at Rs 1.47 crore and Rs 63.36 lakh respectively.

The surge in ticket sales appears closely tied to the response surrounding the film’s trailer. The three-minute promotional video circulated rapidly across social media platforms after its release, triggering a wave of discussion among fans of the franchise.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, brings back the high-stakes espionage tone that defined the earlier installment. Alongside Ranveer Singh, the cast includes Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, and Yami Gautam.

The strong advance bookings arrive at a moment when the film industry is watching the March release calendar closely. Another high-profile film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh starring Pawan Kalyan, is scheduled to arrive in theatres on March 19.

Reports indicate that its early international bookings have already crossed the $80,000 mark ahead of premiere screenings, setting up what could become a notable box office face-off between the two releases.

For now, however, attention remains firmly on the early numbers coming from Dhurandhar 2. Advance bookings often provide only the first glimpse of audience sentiment, but the current figures suggest the franchise has retained considerable momentum heading into its theatrical debut.

Whether that momentum translates into sustained box office performance will become clearer once the film reaches theatres later this week.
