The theatrical run of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has settled into a steadier rhythm after an explosive opening stretch, yet the film continues to hold its position among the biggest performers in recent Indian cinema. By its tenth day, the Ranveer Singh-led action thriller had already moved into the top tier of all-time earners, a trajectory that few releases manage so quickly.
Figures available as of March 28 indicate that the film has crossed Rs 1,226 crore in worldwide gross collections, with India contributing Rs 930.44 crore and overseas markets adding Rs 296 crore. The net collection across markets stands at Rs 778.77 crore, built over more than 213,000 shows.
Saturday’s performance offered a clearer picture of how the film is now behaving. It brought in Rs 75.22 crore gross in India, translating to Rs 62.85 crore net, with an occupancy rate of around 44 percent. That figure marks an improvement from the previous day’s 32 percent, suggesting that weekend demand is still able to lift the film even as weekday momentum softens.
There has been a visible dip compared to earlier days. Day 9 recorded Rs 41.75 crore net, down from Rs 49.70 crore on Day 8. Even so, the occupancy trend has been gradually improving, indicating that audience interest has not disappeared but is becoming more selective.
The first week alone delivered Rs 624.47 crore net in India, laying the foundation for its current standing. The domestic gross has now climbed close to Rs 877 crore, while worldwide totals are hovering above the Rs 1,120 crore mark depending on the reporting window.
Beyond the standalone numbers, the broader franchise performance has also drawn attention. Combined earnings from the first Dhurandhar film and its sequel have pushed the series past Rs 2,200 crore globally, placing it ahead of the Pushpa franchise’s lifetime total and within range of the long-standing Baahubali benchmark.
Even with that progress, the sequel has not yet surpassed the individual net achievements of certain recent blockbusters. It currently sits as the seventh highest-grossing film in Indian cinema history based on worldwide figures, with room to climb if the current pace sustains.
For now, the film appears to be transitioning from its initial surge into a more typical long-run phase. The coming days will determine whether it can maintain enough traction to challenge higher positions or settle into its already significant place among recent hits.
