A series of pricing leaks ahead of DJI’s expected March 26 product announcement suggest the company may be preparing one of its most aggressive entries into the consumer drone market in recent years.
According to retailer listings in Europe and supply-chain information circulating in China, the upcoming DJI Avata 360 could launch with a drone-only price of €459 in European markets and around ¥2,988 in China. Converted to current exchange rates, those figures place the entry price roughly around the mid-$400 range.
None of the pricing has been officially confirmed by DJI. But the consistency of the leaks across multiple sources, along with the company’s established pricing strategy, has already started shaping expectations across the FPV drone community.
The Avata 360 appears designed to introduce a more accessible path into 360-degree FPV aerial filming, a category that until now has had very limited competition.
Early Pricing Signals A Direct Market Challenge
If the leaked figures hold true at launch, DJI would be entering the segment with a price far below the only widely known competitor currently offering a true 360-degree FPV drone.
The Insta360 Antigravity A1 debuted at $1,599. By contrast, the Avata 360’s expected entry price could land at roughly a third of that level, depending on final regional pricing.
Retail leak data indicates several product configurations may be planned for Europe. A Fly More Combo that includes the RC 2 controller is listed at €939, while a Premium Combo with Goggles N3 and the same controller appears at €1,159.
Even that higher package would still remain below the standalone price of the Antigravity A1.
Pricing details shared through Chinese supply-chain sources suggest a similar structure. A standard combo is listed around ¥3,988, with a larger Fly More bundle including additional batteries and accessories reaching ¥5,688.
U.S. pricing has not been confirmed, though industry observers expect the base version to fall somewhere between roughly $489 and $528 once regional adjustments are applied.
Leaked Specifications Suggest Focus On Immersive Video
Beyond pricing, early reports also outline a set of specifications aimed squarely at immersive content creation.
Leaks indicate the Avata 360 may feature dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensors, each with 64-megapixel resolution, enabling 8K spherical video capture. Each lens reportedly provides a 200-degree field of view.
The camera module is expected to tilt between traditional FPV filming and full 360-degree capture modes.
Transmission is believed to rely on DJI’s O4 system with a potential range of up to 20 kilometers.
Flight time is estimated at about 25 minutes, although this figure has not yet been confirmed by the company.
Another detail attracting attention involves replaceable lenses. Early price lists place individual replacement lenses at €21, suggesting DJI may be addressing a long-standing concern among drone pilots about the fragility of fixed camera glass.
The drone is also expected to integrate with existing DJI hardware including Goggles N3, the RC 2 controller, and the Motion 3 controller.
Regulatory Timing May Shape U.S. Availability
The Avata 360 received equipment authorization from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission in November 2025.
That approval came shortly before new regulatory restrictions placed DJI on the FCC Covered List in December.
Because the device cleared certification before that designation took effect, analysts expect the drone to remain eligible for retail sales in the United States at launch.
DJI has also filed a legal challenge regarding the regulatory classification, though that process is still ongoing.
For consumers and creators watching the FPV market, the coming announcement may mark a significant shift in pricing dynamics.
If the leaked figures prove accurate, DJI’s new model would dramatically lower the entry cost for 360-degree aerial footage.
The official unveiling scheduled for March 26 should provide the final confirmation.
For now, the numbers alone have already sparked conversation across the drone industry.
