    European Female Producers Gain Momentum with Series’ Women Leadership Initiative

    The Erich Pommer Institut (EPI) has selected 15 female producers for its fifth Series’ Women program. These producers come from 10 different European countries. The initiative aims to boost female leadership in the drama series industry.

    This advanced training program provides curated mentoring and networking opportunities. It is designed to increase the visibility of female producers and their projects. The program is funded by Creative Europe – Media.

    Program Offers Tailored Coaching and Key Market Access

    Participants receive one-on-one pitching coaching for their specific series projects. They also gain access to major European series markets. These include TV Drama Vision in Sweden and the Series Mania Forum in France.

       

    The training addresses crucial topics like visibility and digital entrepreneurship. An online diversity training course for their companies is also part of the package. This holistic approach supports both individual and organizational growth.

    Strengthening a More Competitive and Sustainable Industry

    According to Reuters, diversity in leadership leads to more innovative storytelling. The program directly addresses the industry’s gender gap. It helps create a more sustainable and competitive European drama series landscape.

    Project manager Gabriela Seidel-Hollaender stated the program is a place for exchange and support. She emphasized its role in helping producers advance in a demanding field. The EPI received a record number of applications this year.

    The selection of these 15 European female producers marks a significant step toward industry parity. This initiative provides essential tools for career advancement. It fosters a stronger, more diverse future for European television.
