The release addresses a significant number of vulnerabilities. According to the Android security bulletin dated March 1, 2026, a total of 63 security issues were resolved. A second bulletin dated March 5 lists 66 additional fixes. The identified weaknesses range in severity from high to critical.
A separate bulletin specific to Google devices outlines ten more security fixes affecting Pixel hardware and software integration.
The update carries the same build number, CP1A.260305.016, across the current Pixel lineup. Devices receiving the build include Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8 series, Pixel 9 series, Pixel 10 series, and Pixel 10a.
Beyond security, Googleâs release notes highlight a number of stability corrections affecting everyday functions. Some fixes address audio behavior, including a delay that could appear when the speaker icon loads during audio adjustments. Another patch targets a bug that occasionally caused audio-related crashes.
Camera reliability has also been addressed on newer Pixel models. Google says it resolved an issue that could cause the camera service to crash, a problem that sometimes disrupted normal camera operation.
Several system-level fixes focus on display and graphics performance. Google reports resolving an issue that could lead to system crashes and broader Android instability. Some Pixel 10 devices also received patches for rare cases where the screen could freeze or behave incorrectly, including visual distortion.
The company also noted an interface-related fix where background blur would briefly disappear from the All Apps screen during search.
Framework-level improvements target device responsiveness. One fix addresses conditions that could cause the user interface to freeze, while another resolves temporary slowdowns tied to background processing of Android intelligence features. A separate correction prevents crashes that could occur when certain services started.
Battery reporting errors have also been addressed on Pixel 10 devices, particularly when using wireless charging, where abnormal temperature readings or missing battery information could appear.
On the connectivity side, Google says it resolved instability that could temporarily disrupt cellular service. The update also includes general improvements aimed at strengthening network stability under certain conditions.
User interface refinements round out the update. Google fixed an issue that could leave an application stuck when users rapidly switched between recent apps and the home screen. Another patch reduces delays when opening the audio output selector after music has been playing in the background.
