Historic 7th March celebrated in Uzbekistan

ZOOMBANGLA DESK: The Embassy of Bangladesh in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Sunday observed the Historic 7th March Speech of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with due solemnity and respect.

The Day’s program started at the Chancery of the Embassy with playing National anthem and hoisting of National flag by Bangladesh Ambassador Md Zahangir Alam.

At the beginning Message from the President was read out by Ambassador Md Zahangir Alam and message of Prime Minister by Nripendra Chandra Debnath, minister and deputy chief of Mission.

Second part of the event was a special online webinar to commemorate the Historic 7th March Speech of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Webinar started with screening of documentary films on the Historic Speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. UNESCO representative in Uzbekistan Jan Hladik sent a video message paying rich tribute to the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Ambassador Md Zahangir Alam delivered opening speech for all participants and speakers who took part in special webinar.

State minister for public administration ministry of Bangladesh Farhad Hossain was the chief guest of the event. He delivered his speech highlighting the historic importance of Bangabandhu`s 7th March Speech.

Among others, Indian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat, Prof. Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, member of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Dr. Farzana Islam, Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Prof. Dr. Obidjon Khamidov Khafizovich, rector of Bukhara State University of Uzbekistan, Dr. H. M. Jahirul Haque, vice chancellor of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, Dr. Gulom Ismailov Mirzaevich, award winner of International Mother Language International Award 2021, Dhaka, Prof. Ms. Begoyim Kholbekova, Prof. Ms. Muhibova Ulfat Uchqunovna, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, Dr. André Nel, Principal of British International School, Tashkent, Gulam Nobi, Bangladesh community leader and valiant freedom fighter delivered speech on this historic occasion.
