Honor has formally introduced its latest foldable smartphone in China, revealing full specifications and pricing for the Honor Magic V6 after its earlier global preview at Mobile World Congress 2026.
The device had already drawn attention during the Barcelona event, where Honor showcased the phoneâs extremely thin design and hinted at upgrades aimed at strengthening its position in the competitive foldable market. Tuesdayâs announcement filled in the remaining details, including the official Honor Magic V6 price and the complete hardware profile.
Honor describes the Magic V6 as a device built around three core priorities: a slimmer body, a stronger hinge system, and an unusually large battery capacity for a foldable smartphone.
When folded, the handset measures 8.75mm thick. Opened fully, it reaches just 4mm, making it one of the slimmest designs in this category so far. The phone will be offered in four color options in China: white, red, gold, and black.
The inner display stretches to 7.95 inches using a BOE OLED panel with a peak brightness of 5000 nits and a resolution of 2352 by 2172 pixels. Honor has paired it with an LTPO refresh rate that ranges between 1Hz and 120Hz. The screen also supports 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and uses ultra-thin glass technology intended to reduce the appearance of the fold crease.
On the outside, the cover display measures 6.52 inches. It also uses a BOE OLED panel with the same adaptive refresh capability, but pushes peak brightness to 6000 nits. Honor says the outer panel uses a new coating designed to improve visibility while lowering reflectivity.
Honor focuses on durability, battery size, and foldable design
Durability was another point emphasized during the launch. Honor introduced what it calls a next-generation shield steel hinge built using an aerospace forging process. According to the company, the hinge structure reaches a strength rating of 2800MPa, which it claims exceeds that of a carâs A-pillar.
The foldable also carries an IP69 water resistance rating and is engineered to minimize the crease that typically appears along the folding line of such displays.
Inside, the Magic V6 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Supreme Edition chipset. The device comes with 12GB of RAM as standard and storage configurations ranging from 256GB up to 1TB.
Honor says the processor allows the phone to support a 120-frame-per-second gaming ecosystem, aiming to keep performance consistent across demanding apps and games.
Camera hardware includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with CIPA 6.5 anti-shake capability. Both the outer and inner displays include 20-megapixel front cameras.
Artificial intelligence features have also been integrated into the camera system and productivity tools. Honor highlighted functions such as AI document editing, automated meeting summaries, and image-to-document conversion.
Battery capacity is another standout element of the Chinese version of the device. The top 1TB model carries a 7150mAh battery, noticeably larger than the 6660mAh battery used in the global version shown earlier.
Charging support includes 80W wired charging along with 66W wireless charging.
The Magic V6 runs Android 16 with Honorâs MagicOS 10 interface layered on top.
Honor has opened pre-orders in China ahead of retail availability starting March 13.
The Honor Magic V6 price begins at 8,999 yuan for the 12GB and 256GB version. The 12GB and 512GB model is priced at 9,999 yuan. A configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage costs 10,999 yuan, while the top 16GB and 1TB variant is listed at 11,999 yuan.
For now, Honor has confirmed the launch only for the Chinese market, where foldable devices continue to gain traction among premium smartphone buyers.
