ZOOMBANGLA DESK: State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said India would cooperate in setting up high-tech parks and creating skilled human resources in 12 districts of Bangladesh.
“The Government of India is providing loans for creating skilled human resources and establishment of high-tech parks in 12 districts of the country,” he said.
Palak said this after a meeting with Indian High Commissioner Vikram Kumar Doraiswamy at a conference room of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, said a press release.
The Indian High Commissioner said that the historical ties between the two countries have been further strengthened and it was important to work for enhancing partnership with Bangladesh in other sectors including ICT sector.
“India’s investment in various sectors, especially in the ICT sector has increased,” Palak said.
The work of setting up eight of these parks will start by next February 2022, he said.
Under the Bangladesh-India Digital Service and Employment Training Centre (BDSET) project, specialised labs will be set up at 6 Software Technology Parks, Hi-Tech Parks and Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centres to provide training.
About 2.5 hundreds trainees will receive training from here in the next two years.
Training will be provided on Internet of Things, Machine Learning, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Extended Reality and other advanced subjects.
In addition, 30 people will be sent to India for advanced training on ICT for 6 months. (BSS)
