A few days before its scheduled debut in India on April 13, Infinix has begun outlining what it sees as a turning point for its Note series. The upcoming Infinix Note 60 Pro is positioned squarely in the mid-range segment, but the company is leaning on a mix of design and performance choices that signal a change in direction.

Most notably, the device will be the first from Infinix to run on a Snapdragon platform. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, a 4nm chip with peak clock speeds of up to 2.7GHz. The company claims the processor has crossed the 1 million mark on AnTuTu benchmarks, pointing to stronger multitasking and steadier performance under sustained use. Infinix is also highlighting improvements in thermal handling, particularly during gaming sessions.
There is a visible attempt to differentiate the hardware. On the back, the Note 60 Pro carries a secondary display built around LED elements capable of showing animations. The feature appears aimed more at visual identity than utility, though the company has not detailed how deeply it integrates with everyday functions.
Gaming, however, sits closer to the centre of its pitch. Infinix says the device has been certified by Activision Publishing to support stable 120 frames per second in Call of Duty: Mobile. A themed edition tied to the game is also planned, with interface customisations inspired by the character Ghost. The company pairs this with a dedicated cooling system, suggesting an effort to sustain performance rather than rely on peak numbers alone.
Audio is another area where Infinix is seeking outside validation. The phoneâs sound profile has been tuned in collaboration with JBL, with an emphasis on spatial output during gameplay and media use.
Alongside hardware changes, the company is introducing a âOne-Tap AIâ button. Details remain limited, but Infinix says it is intended to streamline tasks across performance management, camera processing, and system shortcuts, reflecting a broader shift toward on-device AI features.

There are still gaps in what has been disclosed. Camera capabilities, software experience, and long-term support remain unaddressed ahead of launch. For now, the Note 60 Pro appears to be built around performance and visual distinction, with gaming at its core.
How those choices translate into everyday use will likely become clearer once the device is formally unveiled.
