Infinix has introduced the NOTE 60 Pro in Nigeria, putting the spotlight on performance, battery endurance, and a more playful approach to smartphone design at a time when buyers expect one device to handle work, entertainment, and content creation without strain.
The new phone leads the companyâs NOTE 60 Series and marks a notable shift for the brand. For the first time, Infinix has used a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in one of its smartphones, choosing the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 5G for the NOTE 60 Pro. The company says the chip pushes the device past 1.1 million on the AnTuTu benchmark, a figure it is using to underline the jump from the previous NOTE generation.
In practical terms, Infinix is positioning the phone as a device built for sustained everyday use rather than headline speed alone. The pitch is familiar but increasingly important in this segment: quicker app launches, steadier multitasking, smoother gaming, and enough headroom for heavier tasks such as video editing and mobile content production.
A large part of that promise rests on thermal control. Infinix has paired the chipset with a 3D IceCore Vapor Chamber Cooling system, designed to keep heat in check during long gaming sessions, streaming, or other demanding workloads. That may matter as much as raw performance, especially in markets where buyers often hold onto a device for years and expect it to perform consistently over time.
One of the more unusual touches is found on the back of the phone. Infinix has introduced what it calls the Active Matrix Display, a small rear LED interface that stays hidden until needed, then lights up for notifications, calls, timers, and alerts. The feature also supports personal animations, light signatures, emojis, mini-games, and virtual Pixel Pets, giving the NOTE 60 Pro a design identity that clearly aims to stand out in a crowded mid-range market.
Photography is centered on a 50MP OIS Night Master main camera. Infinix says the system combines optical image stabilization with pixel fusion technology to improve low-light results and reduce blur in handheld shots. The emphasis here is not on a broad camera system but on making the main sensor more dependable in the kinds of indoor and night scenes many users encounter most often.
Battery life is another major part of the launch. The NOTE 60 Pro carries a 6500mAh battery in some markets, with support for 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging through the Infinix MagCharge ecosystem. It also includes Adaptive Bypass Charging, meant to manage heat when the phone is being charged during heavy use.
Infinix is going further by highlighting what it calls Battery Self-Healing Technology, which it says is designed to preserve long-term battery reliability and maintain performance for up to six years of typical use. That is an ambitious claim, but it shows where the company believes buyer attention has shifted: not just to how fast a phone charges, but how well it holds up over time.
The phone also comes with JBL-tuned dual stereo speakers, another feature aimed at users who rely on their phones for films, music, and gaming rather than occasional media use. Software support is set at up to three years of Android OS updates and up to five years of security updates, with the device running Android 16 and XOS 16.
Speaking at the launch, Infinix Nigeriaâs Integrated Marketing Communications and PR Manager, Oluwayemisi Ode, said the NOTE 60 Pro reflects the companyâs push to combine performance, creativity, and reliability in a device built around everyday needs.
With the NOTE 60 Pro, Infinix is trying to make a stronger case for what a phone in this category should deliver. In a market where buyers increasingly weigh performance against longevity, that may be the more important test than any single feature on its own.
