iQOO has begun publicly teasing its upcoming smartphone, the iQOO Z11, signaling the company’s next step in the increasingly competitive mid-range Android market. The device is expected to launch in China later this month, with early details pointing to unusually ambitious battery and display specifications for its category.
The teasers surfaced as iQOO marked its seventh anniversary, where the company’s product manager, Xing Cheng, acknowledged that the Z11 will carry two headline features. The phone will ship with a 9,020mAh battery and support a display refresh rate of 165Hz, specifications rarely associated with mid-range devices.
If the battery capacity holds true at launch, it would represent the largest battery ever fitted into an iQOO smartphone. For a brand that has typically leaned toward performance-focused devices, the shift suggests a growing emphasis on endurance alongside speed.
Beyond those two confirmed elements, much of the remaining hardware profile is still circulating through industry leaks and certification sightings rather than official announcements.
The device is expected to arrive with a price somewhere between CNY 2,000 and CNY 3,000, positioning it squarely in China’s crowded mid-range segment. That range translates roughly to the $288 to $435 bracket. iQOO itself has hinted that the upgraded battery and display are intended to justify the modest increase compared with earlier Z-series models.
Early Signs Point To Larger Display And Higher Memory Options
Leaked information from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station suggests the Z11 could feature a 6.83-inch flat OLED LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution. The same source claims the device may offer configurations with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
Those details remain unofficial. iQOO has not confirmed the screen size, panel resolution, or memory variants at the time of writing.
Certification records have also surfaced online for what appears to be the same device, indicating support for 90W wired fast charging. If accurate, that charging capability would complement the unusually large battery, though the company itself has not yet verified the figure.
The processor inside the iQOO Z11 has not been disclosed either. However, observers expect a performance-oriented mid-range chipset. The previous model in the series, the iQOO Z10, shipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 platform.
The Z11’s arrival comes alongside broader activity within the Z-series lineup. A related device, the iQOO Z11x, is scheduled to debut in India on March 12 with a 7,200mAh battery. That announcement has fueled speculation that the Z11 family could eventually reach markets beyond China.
Additional hints have appeared through regulatory listings, including entries in Malaysia’s SIRIM certification database and an IMEI registration. While those filings often precede wider releases, iQOO has not confirmed any global launch plans.
For now, the company appears focused on the upcoming Chinese unveiling, where the remaining specifications and the final release timeline are expected to become clear.
The Z11 enters a mid-range smartphone field that has increasingly prioritized battery longevity and smoother displays, features that were once limited to premium devices. Whether iQOO’s approach resonates with buyers will likely become clearer once the phone is formally introduced later this month.
