Kia has revealed a comprehensive facelift for its Stonic small SUV. The updated model adopts the brand’s latest design language and modern technology. It was officially announced on September 10th.
The refresh aims to keep the veteran model competitive in a crowded segment. According to Carscoops, the changes are far more significant than the previous 2020 update.
Redesigned Exterior and Modernized Cabin
The 2025 Stonic features a completely new front end. It now sports slimmer LED lights and a redesigned grille.
The bumper is also new, with a sportier design for the GT-Line trim. At the rear, C-shaped LED lights and a cleaner tailgate define the updated look.
New Adventurous Green and Yacht Blue exterior colors join the palette. The vehicle’s length has increased by 65 mm (2.6 inches).
Inside, the cabin receives a major technological upgrade. A new digital cockpit features dual 12.3-inch screens.
Physical climate controls have been replaced with touchscreen operation. A new steering wheel, ambient lighting, and USB-C ports modernize the interior experience.
Enhanced Safety and Unchanged Powertrain
The updated Stonic benefits from a more advanced ADAS suite. New features include navigation-based Smart Cruise Control and Highway Driving Assist.
Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist with Safe Exit Warning is also available. These systems enhance safety for both occupants and pedestrians.
Under the hood, the powertrain remains familiar but updated. The turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine is offered in two states of tune.
A mild-hybrid version produces 113 hp (85 kW / 115 PS). The standard version generates 99 hp (74 kW / 100 PS).
Both versions can be paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The Stonic continues to ride on the architecture of the discontinued Rio hatchback.
The 2025 Kia Stonic facelift represents a significant step forward for the small SUV. Its bold new styling and high-tech interior bring it in line with Kia’s latest offerings. This comprehensive update ensures the Stonic remains a strong contender in the competitive B-SUV segment.
