ZOOMBANGLA DESK: The two-day Korean Cultural Festival organized by KOICA in collaboration with the South Korean Embassy and the Korean community ended here commemorating the 50th anniversary of the friendship between Dhaka and Seoul.

The festival attracted a large number of people, who came to experience the best of Korean culture at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), a press release issued by Korean Embassy here said.

Newly appointed KOICA Bangladesh Country Director Taeyoung Kim expressed gratitude to the Korean Embassy and the local Korean community for their support, which contributed to making the festival a success.

He said the event provided an excellent platform for Bangladeshi people to learn more about Korean culture and strengthen cultural ties between the two countries, which is also proof of intercultural understanding and cooperation.

He further said that KOICA will continue its efforts to promote cultural exchanges between Bangladesh and Korea in the coming days.

The festival featured a wide range of cultural activities and performances that showcased the richness and diversity of Korean culture.

Visitors were treated to traditional music and various exhibitions on Korean culture, arts and crafts.

A separate booth offered the opportunity to wear the colourful Korean traditional wear- Hanbok, for both men and women, and to capture ever-remembering beautiful photos.

The celebration hall was decorated with the iconic royal palace, throne hall and royal hall.

Visitors also enjoyed a series of traditional Korean games in the play zone, which had a great appeal to the participants.

KOICA, an aid agency established by the Korean Foreign Ministry in 1991, has been implementing Korea’s grant aid and technical cooperation to support socio-economic development in Bangladesh since 1993.(BSS)
