The fire caused extensive damage to the building’s core. It ravaged the electrical shaft between the 10th and 21st floors. Routers, shoe racks, and wooden furniture near the duct on various floors were also destroyed.

Filmmaker’s Office Gutted, Cause Remains Under Investigation

The 12th, 13th, and 14th floors of Sorrento Tower were completely gutted. The 14th floor housed the office of prominent filmmaker Sandeep Singh. His filmography includes notable titles like Mary Kom, Sarbjit, and Aligarh.

Singh had recently been discharged from a hospital after hernia treatment. As a precaution, actors Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain immediately offered him shelter. This quick thinking ensured his safety after the fire damaged his workspace.

The fire was officially declared extinguished at 11:37 am. The cause of the Sorrento Tower fire is currently unknown and under investigation. Officials have not yet determined what sparked the major blaze.
