Melissa Gorga and Joe Gorga’s family is getting more than just a sprinkle of holiday cheer. The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars offered a promising update on their renewed relationship with Joe’s sister Teresa Giudice after they recently ended their yearslong estrangement.
“We’ve made a lot of progress,”
Melissa told E! News in an exclusive interview at a special screening of The Housemaid in New York City Dec. 2. “It’s great. Everything’s good.”Ahead of the screening of the film—in theaters Dec. 19—the 46-year-old also revealed the Gorga and Giudice households are planning to revive one of their longstanding holiday traditions to celebrate the end of their longstanding estrangement.“We’re having Christmas Eve at my house this year, so we’ll be together at my house,” she continued. “It’s crazy, because you never know, right? Never say never.”Melissa and Joe’s relationship with Teresa, 53, has ebbed and flowed over the years, as documented on the Bravo reality series. And while things seemingly took an irreparable turn when the couple decided to skip Teresa’s wedding to Luis Ruelas in August 2022, Joe, 51, has happily embraced his mended family bond.

“Everyone says it’s baby steps,” he told E!, “but no, we’re back to normal.”
The lengthy rift did teach Joe—who shares kids Antonia, 20, Gino, 18, and Joey Jr., 15, with Melissa—a valuable lesson: “Forgive, forgive, forgive and be happy in life.”

Teresa also seems to have adopted that mantra. After all, she was the one to make the first move towards a truce with her brother after competing with her daughter Gia Giudice on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.“She wanted me to let go of the past with her dad,” Teresa told E! News at BravoCon 2025 last month, referring to her ex-husband Joe Giudice. “When I thought about my husband and letting the past go, I thought about my brother. I want my brother back in my life.”And that goes for her brother’s family as well, as Teresa—also mom to Gabriella, 21, Milania, 19, and Audriana, 16—added, “I want Melissa in my life, my nephews, my niece.”
