ZOOMBANGLA DESK: The business leaders of Guadalajara, the third-largest metropolitan city of Mexico, expressed their keen interest to invest in Bangladesh’s thriving sectors including ICT, apparel, furniture and processed food.
Participating in the webinar titled `Bangladesh & Mexico: Potentials & Opportunities’ organized by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Mexico City on Thursday with the assistance of a local dignitary named Francisco Pena Manjarrez they also showed interest in importing decorative lights from Bangladesh.
Ambassador Abida Islam made a presentation on the socio-economic developments of Bangladesh highlighting the potentials of important sectors like RMG, Pharmaceuticals, Health and Medical Equipment, IT, Jute products, Leather and Footwear, Light Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Equipment, processed Agro-based food, automobiles, ceramic, plastic and shipbuilding to the participants.
She also elaborated on the investment-friendly policies of the Government including the lucrative investment incentives.
Over 32 participants from different sectors like construction, real estate, cosmetics, production & distribution of salt, decorative lights, processed food, members of local chambers of Guadalajara actively joined the webinar and showed their keen interest to engage commercially with Bangladesh in the days ahead.
