MTV Splitsvilla 16 has always promised chaos, chemistry, and competition, but episode 13 quietly exposes one of the seasonâs biggest problems so far: overcrowding. With too many contestants sharing limited screen time, it has become difficult for viewers to form a clear emotional connection with most of them. Personalities feel half-built, storylines appear rushed, and several contestants remain almost invisible despite their past reputations.

This is especially noticeable with Roadies imports. Yogesh, who entered with decent expectations after Roadies, has barely left an impression. There is no controversy around him yet, no standout move, no emotional arc. At this stage, he exists more as a background presence than a serious contender, even though his past suggests he might have more to offer later.
Gulluâs presence has also reignited the old debate around Roadies favoritism. His Roadies win itself divided audiences, and his Splitsvilla journey so far hasnât done much to silence critics. The concern is not personal but structural. When Roadies contestants repeatedly get second chances or narrative advantages, it creates a predictable pattern. Other contestants, who are performing consistently within Splitsvilla itself, often feel overshadowed.
Among the girls, Niharika continues to stand out with confidence and clarity. Koena has a softer presence that works on screen, but many others still seem unsure of their identity in the game. Performance alone is not enough in a show like Splitsvilla; individuality matters, and episode 13 highlights that gap clearly.
Some relationships are also feeling forced. Emotional reactions appear exaggerated for connections that are barely a few days old. Himanshuâs behavior raised eyebrows, particularly because of his lack of effort or basic sensitivity. The girl walking away on her own only added to the confusion, making the entire situation feel unresolved and oddly hollow.
Chaksh emerges as one of the more grounded contestants. His approach feels sincere, which is rare this season. However, his pairing raises questions, especially when earlier expectations around loyalty seem to be shifting without explanation. Anishaâs presence on the show currently feels more linked to Chaksh than her own independent journey.
Elsewhere, Tayâs interactions, particularly with Niharika, appeared flirtier than expected, while Sadafâs aggressive tone during the dome session came across as unnecessary. Authority without listening often feels more like intimidation than confidence.
Outside the episodes, constant Instagram fights and interview spats are also wearing thin. While publicity is part of reality TV, overdoing it risks alienating viewers.

Episode 13 doesnât ruin the season, but it does underline a growing fatigue. Splitsvilla still has strong players and moments, but it needs space, balance, and fairness to let them breathe.
