Nothing is leaning into its retail strategy again, this time with an early offline sale of its Phone (4a) Pro in Bengaluru, offering a limited group of buyers access to the device days before its scheduled shipping later this month.

The company, which introduced the full Phone (4a) lineup on March 5 in London, has already begun selling the base model online. The Pro variant, however, has so far remained in the pre-order phase, making the March 21 in-store event the first public opportunity to purchase it outright.
The sale is set for 6 pm IST at the brandâs Indiranagar store. Nothing says the first 100 customers will receive an engraved edition of the Phone (4a) Pro along with a complimentary pair of its Ear earbuds. The approach mirrors a similar early retail push used for the standard Phone (4a), which briefly appeared in stores before wider online availability.
The Phone (4a) Pro marks a step up in both design and hardware from its sibling. It adopts a metal unibody construction and carries an IP65 rating, offering some resistance against dust and splashes. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage options up to 256GB.
Its display stands out on paper, with a 6.83-inch OLED panel supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness rated at 5,000 nits. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, suggesting a focus on durability alongside visual performance.
Camera hardware appears to be another area of emphasis. The device includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, alongside a 50MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. An 8MP ultrawide camera rounds out the setup, placing it in a category where such zoom capabilities are still relatively uncommon.
Pricing begins at Rs 39,999 and extends to Rs 45,999 for higher configurations, positioning the device in a crowded segment. Competition in this range includes models from Samsungâs Galaxy A5x line, OnePlusâs Nord series, and Realmeâs GT offerings, each targeting different buyer priorities such as software longevity or raw performance.
Nothingâs differentiation continues to rest on its distinct design language, including the Glyph lighting system, and a cleaner approach to Android software. The Bengaluru event, while limited in scale, appears designed to reinforce that identity while creating a sense of immediacy around the product.

For those in the city, the early sale offers not just quicker access, but a version of the device that may not be widely available later. Beyond that, the broader rollout remains on track, with pre-orders already open through online channels.
