A new multi-million rand fund is now open for South Africa’s young innovators. The Orange Corners Innovation Fund (OCIF) GROW Programme 2026 aims to fuel high-potential businesses. The application deadline is December 31, 2025.

Orange Corners Innovation Fund

This initiative targets entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 with proven, scalable business models. It is an extension of the established Orange Corners incubation programmes. The goal is to create jobs and address local social challenges.

Substantial Financial Support and Strategic Growth Focus

Selected businesses will receive funding between R200,000 and R1,000,000. This capital is designed to support scaling operations and workforce expansion. The fund specifically backs innovative products, processes, and marketing strategies.

Eligibility requires a business to be in its first seven years of operation. Applicants must have a minimum of six months of trading history. Annual turnover should fall between ZAR 250,000 and ZAR 10 million.

Aligning Business Growth with Sustainable Development

A core requirement for funding is alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Businesses must demonstrate how they address a local challenge. Proven market traction for their innovative solution is essential.

According to programme guidelines, applicants must show how the funding will create impact. This includes clear plans for job creation and sales growth. The programme strongly encourages applications from female-owned businesses.

The OCIF GROW Programme represents a significant injection of capital for South Africa’s youth-led economy. This targeted funding aims to transform innovative ideas into sustainable, job-creating enterprises. It is a pivotal opportunity for young founders ready to scale.
