INTERNATIONAL DESK: Over 2 lakh domestic and foreign tourists have visited Kaziranga of Guwahati in the last four months.
Around 2,06,500 tourists visited the national park in the four months of the tourist year from starting of the season. Of these 2 lakh tourist footfalls, 4910 were foreign tourists.
Kaziranga National Park witnessed the highest footfall of tourists in January with 76,700 tourists visiting the park.
In December, around 66,500 tourists visited the national park.
The Kaziranga National Park Authority told the media that the revenue collected from tourists in four months has gone up to almost ₹5.17 crore.
Authority expects over 7 lakh tourists to visit the national park in the upcoming season.
