Eleven lottery players across New Jersey walked away with prizes of 10000 dollars or more during a week of Powerball and state lottery drawings, according to the New Jersey Lottery’s latest release.
The agency said the tickets were sold between Feb. 9 and Feb. 16, spanning a mix of scratch-off games and draw results that brought wins to several counties. Two of the larger payouts came from Powerball drawings, both worth 50000 dollars each.
One of those tickets was sold at Hari Mini Store on Thomas Boulevard in East Orange in Essex County for the Feb. 11 drawing. The other 50000 dollar ticket was purchased at a ShopRite on Nixon Drive in Mount Laurel in Burlington County for the Feb. 14 drawing.
The biggest individual prizes of the week came from scratch-off games. A 500000 dollar winning ticket for the 50X game was sold at a Wawa on English Creek in Egg Harbor in Atlantic County. Another 500000 dollar win came from a Super Hot 7’s ticket sold at Ringwood Discount Liquors on Ringwood Avenue in Ringwood in Passaic County.
Jersey Cash 5 also produced a pair of identical prizes on Feb. 14, each worth 472983 dollars. One ticket was sold through the third party app Jackpocket, while the other was purchased at Quick Mart on Knopf Street in Linden in Union County.
Other wins included a 250000 dollar Crossword ticket sold at Welsh Farm on Inman Avenue in Colonia in Middlesex County. Several smaller but still significant prizes of 10000 dollars were recorded from different scratch-off games in Essex, Passaic and Cumberland counties.
The weekly list reflects how lottery winnings are often spread across different parts of the state and across multiple games, rather than concentrated in a single jackpot.
For players and retailers alike, these smaller but frequent prizes tend to keep attention on the games between major headline jackpots, offering steady reminders that sizable wins can come from everyday purchases.
