The theatrical run of Dhurandhar 2 has settled into a slower but still steady rhythm three weeks after release, even as the film continues to redraw the upper limits of box office performance in India. The Ranveer Singh-led action drama, which opened on March 19, has now moved past a significant benchmark long held by one of Indian cinema’s most dominant titles.

On its 20th day in theatres, the film collected Rs 10.10 crore net in India, according to figures reported by Sacnilk. That marks only a marginal increase from the previous day’s Rs 10 crore, reflecting the expected tapering of collections in the third week. Occupancy stood at 14.3 percent across 13,554 shows, suggesting that while the initial surge has cooled, audience interest has not entirely receded.
The cumulative numbers, however, tell a larger story. With a total India net collection of Rs 1,033.37 crore and gross earnings reaching Rs 1,237.21 crore, Dhurandhar 2 has edged past the lifetime domestic earnings of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which stood at Rs 1,030.42 crore. The shift is symbolically important, marking a rare instance of a film breaching a benchmark that had remained intact for years.
The film is now closing in on another milestone, with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rise next in line at Rs 1,234.10 crore. Beyond that, it has already overtaken several major releases including KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, and Kalki 2898 AD, placing it firmly among the highest-grossing films in India.
Globally, the film’s momentum remains intact, with worldwide collections approaching Rs 1,650 crore. That figure, if reached, would further cement its standing in the current theatrical landscape.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film continues the arc established in its first installment. It traces the journey of Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, whose rise through Pakistan’s underworld and political layers forms the backbone of the narrative. The second part turns back to his earlier life as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, exploring his transformation into an Indian agent while consolidating power in Lyari.
The ensemble cast includes R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun, contributing to a narrative that balances character backstory with broader geopolitical tension.

For now, the pace may have eased, but the film’s cumulative impact remains difficult to ignore. Its continued presence in theatres, even at moderated daily figures, points to a run that is still shaping up in real time.
