Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Global Version to Launch with 100W Fast Charging and Dual Camera Setup

Xiaomi is gearing up to release the global version of its newly launched Redmi Note 15 Pro+, with firmware leaks confirming significant differences compared to the Chinese variant. These changes—primarily in battery capacity and camera setup—signal the brand’s intent to tailor the device for broader markets while maintaining its core performance appeal.

The most notable change is the removal of the 50MP telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom, which featured prominently in the Chinese edition. Instead, the global variant is expected to arrive with a more streamlined dual-camera system comprising a main wide-angle lens and an ultrawide sensor. This move reflects a similar trend seen in last year’s Redmi Note 14 Pro+ global release, where optical zoom capabilities were omitted to balance cost and production complexity.

Battery specifications are also undergoing a shift. The Chinese model launched with an impressive 7,000mAh battery, but the global version is tipped to include a slightly smaller 6,500mAh cell. However, in an interesting trade-off, Xiaomi is boosting charging speeds to 100W—up from the 90W available on the Chinese variant. This enhancement aligns with growing consumer demand for faster charging and shorter downtime, particularly in regions with busy lifestyles.

Despite these changes, core hardware elements remain intact. The global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is expected to feature the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, delivering efficient performance across gaming, multitasking, and everyday applications. The 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate, IP68/IP69K dust and water resistance, and Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 2 software are also likely to carry over unchanged.

Xiaomi’s strategy of adjusting hardware between regional and global releases isn’t new. It enables the brand to stay competitive while offering affordability in diverse markets. Although the exclusion of a telephoto lens might limit advanced photography options, most users are likely to appreciate the benefits of rapid charging and consistent processing power.

The official global launch date is yet to be announced, but the presence of international firmware files suggests a rollout is on the horizon. As anticipation builds, users can expect a powerful mid-range smartphone designed to balance performance, practicality, and pricing across global markets.
