Samsung has disclosed a clearer picture of its upcoming Galaxy M47 5G ahead of the smartphone’s launch in India, confirming several core specifications and narrowing the wait for consumers to just a few days.

The company said the Samsung Galaxy M47 5G will be officially unveiled on June 29. While Samsung had previously indicated that the device would arrive soon, the latest announcement provides the most detailed look yet at the handset’s hardware and software package.
At the front, the Galaxy M47 5G will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has also confirmed the inclusion of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, a feature typically aimed at improving resistance against everyday scratches and accidental drops.
Memory and storage configurations will use LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology. On the software side, the smartphone will ship with Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out of the box. Samsung has further committed to six generations of Android operating system upgrades alongside six years of security updates, extending the device’s long-term software support.
The company has not officially named the processor that will power the Galaxy M47 5G. However, a recent Geekbench listing associated with the device suggests it may be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Samsung has not independently confirmed that detail.
Battery capacity has not yet been disclosed, but Samsung said the handset will carry a large battery and support 45W fast charging. The company also confirmed the presence of bypass charging, a feature designed to draw power directly from an external source under supported conditions rather than relying entirely on the battery.
For photography, the Galaxy M47 5G will include a triple-camera system on the rear. The setup consists of a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 2-megapixel depth camera. Selfies and video calls will be handled by a 12-megapixel front-facing camera positioned within a hole-punch display cutout.
Samsung will offer the smartphone in two colour options: Blaze Blue and Rogue Red.
