Samsung’s In-House Gauss AI Evolves with New Agentic Builder and Advanced Models

Samsung is accelerating its push for AI independence. The tech giant has significantly upgraded its proprietary Gauss AI models. It also developed a powerful new Agentic AI builder tool. These advancements are detailed in a new report from South Korea.

According to TheElec, these developments come from Samsung Research. The moves are part of a broader strategy to reduce reliance on external AI technology. The new tools are already being deployed for internal company use.

Samsung’s New Agentic AI Builder and Gauss Models

Samsung Research has created an ‘Agentic Builder’ production tool. This system is built upon newer, more powerful versions of the Gauss large language models. These models are named Gauss 2.3, Gauss 2.3 Think, and Gauss O Flash.

The builder functions as a no-code, interface-based platform. Employees can develop business-critical AI agents by simply combining different components. It uses a drag-and-drop interface for ease of use.

Key components include input/output windows and AI models. A crucial element is ‘DoXA,’ Samsung’s internal document analysis engine. Integrating DoXA allows an AI agent to understand complex business context.

Sirius Search and Advanced Image Generation

Samsung is leveraging Gauss for a new multimodal search service codenamed ‘Sirius.’ This in-house knowledge search focuses on knowledge graph systems. It aims to overcome the limitations of conventional corporate search methods.

Sirius can process text, numbers, tables, images, and file attachments. A Samsung Research official confirmed it is currently a beta service for employees. It is mainly used for searching product development knowledge and technical task information.

The company has also made a breakthrough in image generation AI. It developed a model that overcomes key industry limitations. This new model can use reference images to transform objects based on text prompts without losing key characteristics.

Internal use of this improved image model has surged by 153%. Samsung achieved this by creating a specialized dataset. It optimized open-source models that typically cannot perform additional learning.

Samsung’s commitment to its Gauss AI ecosystem signals a major shift toward technological self-reliance, with future consumer products like the Galaxy S26 expected to be the first to fully integrate these powerful new agentic capabilities.

What is Samsung’s Gauss AI?

Samsung Gauss is the company’s own family of generative AI models. It includes large language models for text and a separate model for image generation. The technology is being developed in-house by Samsung Research.

What is an Agentic AI Builder?

An Agentic AI Builder is a tool that lets users create specialized AI agents. Samsung’s version is a no-code platform. Employees can build agents by dragging and dropping components like AI models and logic structures.

How is Samsung using Sirius internally?

Sirius is a beta service for Samsung employees. It acts as a powerful multimodal corporate search engine. Staff use it to find product development knowledge and technical information.

What is special about Samsung’s new image AI?

It can use reference images to guide its creations. This allows it to transform objects based on text prompts without distorting their core features. Internal usage has grown dramatically since its release.

Will consumers get to use these new AI tools?

Samsung plans to integrate its advanced AI into future products. The Galaxy S26 smartphone is rumored to be the first device with full agentic AI support. It may feature a combination of Gauss, Gemini, and other AI models.
