Tecno has launched a Tonino Lamborghini edition of its Pova 8 Pro 5G, adding a black-and-red design and custom software to a phone built around gaming hardware. The launch was announced on September 4, and Gadgets 360 independently reported the model’s key specifications the same day. The release gives the limited edition a confirmed product story rather than leaving the name tied to pre-launch speculation.

The phone uses the Tonino Lamborghini brand’s visual language without changing the basic identity of the Pova 8 Pro. Its rear panel combines a red Pulse Line, a hexagonal pattern and a metallic Tonino Lamborghini logo. Tecno also gives the model a custom boot animation, themed icons, wallpapers and widgets. The Alive Matrix Display on the rear receives its own branded lighting effects.

Under the styling, the phone is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G platform. Tecno adds a separate P1 graphics chip and a 5K IceShield vapor-chamber cooling system. The company says the cooling design uses a 5,000-square-millimeter vapor chamber and a nine-layer thermal structure. Those are manufacturer specifications, so real heat and battery results will depend on the game, room temperature and software settings.

The gaming pitch is tied to the P1 chip. Tecno says the phone can reach up to 144 frames per second in supported games, while some heavier titles can run at up to 90 frames per second. The company also lists 1.5K resolution and HDR support for more than 30 games. Those figures apply only where the game, version and selected settings support the feature.

The display is a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Tecno lists a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. On the camera side, the phone has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-700C main sensor with optical image stabilisation, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 13-megapixel front camera. The rear camera area also houses the Alive Matrix Display.

A 6,500mAh battery supplies the power, with 45W charging support listed by Gadgets 360. The handset measures 7.39 millimeters thick and weighs 189 grams. Tecno says the model has IP69, IP69K, IP68 and IP66 protection ratings, along with Gorilla Glass 7i and SGS drop-resistance certification. Buyers should confirm the exact rating and warranty for their market before treating those claims as a guarantee for every type of damage.

The software package runs on HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno promises two major Android upgrades and three years of security patches for the model. Its listed AI tools include YouTube summaries, noise cancellation, image cleanup and an AI writing feature. Tecno also says a health function is available in selected markets, but the company clearly describes it as reference-only and not a medical device.

Tecno has not published the limited edition’s price or complete regional availability in the launch materials reviewed by the two reports. That leaves the design and hardware confirmed, while the buying decision depends on local stock, final pricing and after-sales support. The Tecno Pova 8 Pro Tonino Lamborghini is therefore aimed at buyers who want a gaming phone with a visibly different finish, not a separate performance platform.
