A new update is starting to change how Amazfit smartwatch owners see their daily health data, with Zepp Health rolling out a refreshed version of its companion app that looks cleaner and adds a long-requested rewards system.
Version 10.0 of the Zepp app is now available for iPhone users through the Apple App Store. The company’s short changelog points to bug fixes, but early users say the update is doing far more than tidying up behind the scenes.
The most noticeable shift is right on the home screen. The previous “Core Metrics” area has been replaced by a more clearly arranged layout, with separate spaces for activities, training plans, and insights. It is still recognisably the same app, but the structure feels less crowded and easier to scan.
Part of that comes down to the colour changes. The new look uses a wider range of colours, making it simpler to distinguish between sections and spot different kinds of data at a glance. It is a subtle redesign, but one that makes the app feel more current.
The bigger change, though, is a new badges system that has been placed prominently in the bottom navigation bar. A dedicated Badges tab now sits alongside Home, Workout, Aura, and Device, signalling that Zepp Health wants achievement tracking to be a central part of the experience rather than a hidden extra.
Inside, users can earn badges tied to personal bests, achievements, challenges, and longer-term goals. There is also a view showing which badges remain locked, turning the app into something that nudges users to keep working toward the next milestone.
The update appears designed to deepen engagement through software, not just hardware. By pushing achievements and visual rewards into everyday navigation, Zepp Health is leaning into the kind of motivation features that have become common across fitness platforms, even if this particular addition arrives later than many users expected.
For now, the update is limited to iOS. The badges feature is expected to work across Amazfit’s current smartwatch lineup, including models such as the Balance 2 and Active Max.
Zepp Health has not said when version 10.0 will arrive on Android. As things stand, Android users will have to wait, with no official timeline provided.
