UK Government Launches £1.7 Million Common Ground Award for Community Projects

Applications are now open for the UK Government’s Common Ground Award 2026. The initiative will provide capital funding to voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector organisations. The deadline for submissions is November 21, 2025.

The total funding pot is £1.7 million for the 2025/2026 financial year. Successful applicants can receive payments of up to £10,000 each. According to official guidelines, exceptionally strong applications may be considered for up to £50,000.

To be eligible, organisations must be based and operating in England with charitable purposes. This includes registered charities, charitable incorporated organisations, and community interest companies. Unincorporated community groups meeting specific criteria are also eligible to apply.
