INTERNATIONAL DESK: National Institution of Disaster Management (NIDM) and Department of Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR) organised a Webinar on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the 2005 Kashmir Earthquake.
The webinar titled ‘Building Back Better-Lessons Learnt from 2005 Earthquake’ was organised in collaboration with Divisional Administration, Institution of Engineers (India) J&K State Centre, Srinagar among other institutions.
It was inaugurated by NazimZai Khan, Secretary to Government Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR), who said that preparedness is the key to ensure safety from disasters.
He assured that the government is taking all necessary measures to ensure a professional approach towards disaster mitigation. (India Blooms)
