ZOOMBANGLA DESK: A workshop on `Fair Price App and Logical Price Negotiation with Brands’ was held today (19 February) at BKMEA Dhaka office.
STITCH consortium, BKMEA and BGMEA jointly organised the workshop.
The workshop was attended, among others, by the Chief Executive Officer of BKMEA Sulav Chowdhury, Country Manager of ETI Abil Bin Amin, Country Manager of Fair Wear Foundation Bablur Rahman and officials from BGMEA, BKMEA, ETI and Fair Wear.
The `Fair Price App’ was demonstrated in the workshop. Later, discussion on how the app can support factories in Bangladesh to negotiate price better was held.
In the workshop it was also discussed the future actions with how brands behavior on purchasing practices can be made to more ethical and responsible buying.
Sulav Chowdhury, CEO of BKMEA, made the opening and closing remarks in the workshop, which was moderated by Faruk Hossain, Assistant Joint Secretary and Head of Research & Development of BKMEA.
