আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : আজ ৩১ মে, পালিত হচ্ছে বিশ্ব তামাকমুক্ত দিবস। এবারের প্রতিপাদ্য— “তামাক কোম্পানির কূটকৌশল উন্মোচন করি, তামাক ও নিকোটিনমুক্ত বাংলাদেশ গড়ি।” এই প্রতিপাদ্য ধারণ করে বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থা (WHO) ও অন্যান্য স্বাস্থ্য সংগঠনগুলো তামাকের বিরুদ্ধে সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধিতে নানা কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করছে। বিশ্ব স্বাস্থ্য সংস্থার তথ্য অনুযায়ী, বিশ্বজুড়ে ১৩ থেকে ১৫ বছর বয়সী অন্তত ৩ কোটি ৭০ লাখ কিশোর-কিশোরী নিয়মিত তামাকপণ্য ব্যবহার করে। এই বিপুল সংখ্যক তরুণকে নির্দিষ্ট ব্র্যান্ডের প্রতি আসক্ত করতে তামাক কোম্পানিগুলো চালায় নানা রকম কূটকৌশল। এর মধ্যে রয়েছে সুগন্ধিযুক্ত তামাকপণ্য বাজারজাতকরণ, শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানের আশপাশে সহজলভ্যতা নিশ্চিত করা, সামাজিক যোগাযোগমাধ্যমে জনপ্রিয় সেলিব্রেটিদের দিয়ে প্রচার চালানো, বিভিন্ন সাংস্কৃতিক ও…
