জুমবাংলা ডেস্ক: কুমিল্লা বিমানবন্দর নতুন করে চালু করার উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ বেসামরিক বিমান চলাচল কর্তৃপক্ষ (বেবিচক)। দেশের পর্যটন খাতের বিকাশ ও যাত্রী পরিবহণ বাড়াতে কুমিল্লাসহ দেশের আরও ৬টি পুরাতন বিমান বন্দরকে নতুন করে চালুর উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়। ইতোমধ্যেই এ সংক্রান্ত প্রয়োজনীয় কাজ শুরু হয়েছে। কুমিল্লা ছাড়াও অন্য যেসব বিমান বন্দরগুলো চালুর উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হচ্ছে সেগুলো হলো- ঈশ্বরদী, ঠাকুরগাঁও, লালমনিরহাট, বগুড়া, শমসেরনগর ও তেজগাঁও বিমানবন্দর। বেবিচকের ২০৩০ সালের কর্মপরিকল্পনা এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট সূত্রে জানা গেছে এসব তথ্য। জানা গেছে, কুমিল্লা বিমানবন্দর ১৯৭৬ সাল পর্যন্ত বাণিজ্যিকভাবে চালু ছিল। ১৯৯৪ সালে এটি পুনরায় চালু করা হয়। কিন্তু পর্যাপ্ত যাত্রী না থাকায় দুই সপ্তাহের মধ্যেই…
