He has previously worked for national English daily New Age, The Independent, The Bangladesh Observer, leading Bangla daily Prothom Alo and state-owned Bangladesh Betar. Hasan Major holds both graduate and postgraduate degrees in Communication and Journalism from the University of Chittagong.
