জুমবাংলা ডেস্ক: গাজীপুর জেলার কালীগঞ্জে আখ চাষে বাম্পার ফলন হয়েছে। এতে ওই এলাকার কৃষকরা খুবই খুশি। তারা বাজারে ন্যায্য মূল্যও পাচ্ছেন ভালো। এতে কৃষকদের আখ চাষে আগ্রহ বাড়ছে। স্থানীয় কৃষি সম্প্রসারণ অধিদপ্তরের তথ্য মতে, গতবছর ৬০ হেক্টর জমিতে ৩ হাজার ৬১৪ টন আখের আবাদ হয়েছে। এ বছর তা বেড়ে ৬২ হেক্টর জমিতে ৩ হাজার ৭৩৫ টন আখের আবাদ হয়েছে। উপজেলার প্রতিটি ইউনিয়নেই কমবেশি আখের চাষ হয়। তবে বাহাদুরসাদী, জামালপুর, মোক্তারপুর ও কালীগঞ্জ পৌরসভায় একটু বেশি চাষ হয়ে থাকে। এ উপজেলায় বিভিন্ন জাতের আখ চাষ হলেও ঈশ্বরদী ১৬ ও ৩৬, টেনাই, বিএসআরআই ৪১ ও ৪২ জাতের আখ বেশি চাষ হচ্ছে। দিন…
