The second week has begun on a stable note for *Bhooth Bangla*, with the film maintaining a consistent pace at the domestic box office despite a mixed critical response and ongoing competition in theatres.

According to trade data from Sacnilk, the film added ₹5.75 crore net in India on its eighth day, taking its total domestic collection to ₹90.15 crore. The first week closed at ₹84.40 crore, giving the film a solid base as it moved into its second phase of theatrical run.

The film opened with ₹3.75 crore from premiere screenings and registered ₹12.25 crore on its first full day. Collections saw a noticeable jump over the opening weekend, with ₹19 crore on Saturday followed by ₹23 crore on Sunday. As expected, numbers dipped on Monday to ₹6.75 crore, but the decline remained within a manageable range.

Through the weekdays, the film showed relative consistency. It earned ₹8 crore on Tuesday, ₹6.15 crore on Wednesday and ₹5.50 crore on Thursday. The latest figure suggests the film has not seen any sharp drop-off so far, though the coming weekend will likely determine whether it can regain upward momentum.

The release has faced competition from *Dhurandhar* and *Ginny Weds Sunny 2*, both of which are also drawing audiences. Even so, *Bhooth Bangla* appears to have found a steady footing, aided in part by audience interest in the reunion of its lead actor and director after a long gap.

Ahead of the release, the makers shared a behind-the-scenes clip showing the lead actor performing a stunt sequence involving a mid-air jump kick. The attempt did not go as planned, with the actor losing balance during landing and sustaining an injury. Further details about the incident were not disclosed.

The film marks the first collaboration between the actor and director in 15 years. Their earlier work together includes several well-known comedies, with their last project dating back to 2010.

Featuring an ensemble cast, the film has been positioned as a larger-scale horror-comedy compared to their earlier outings. Writer Rohan Shankar noted before release that while comparisons with a previous horror-comedy were expected, the new film differs in story, tone and overall scale.
