Cleer Audio has introduced a new pair of open-ear wireless earbuds, the Arc 5, placing emphasis on spatial audio and long-duration listening in a category that has steadily grown beyond niche use.

The company is positioning the Arc 5 around what it describes as a more immersive listening experience, supported by Dolby Atmos and THX spatial audio. Both technologies are integrated with head tracking, a feature intended to adjust sound positioning as the listener moves, creating a sense of depth that extends beyond traditional stereo playback.
Cleer says the tuning aims for a balance between clarity and presence. The Arc 5 are designed to deliver natural vocals and defined bass, backed by THX certification and a revised acoustic structure. The focus appears to be on improving how sound is perceived in space, rather than simply increasing volume or low-end output.
The open-ear design remains central to the product. Unlike in-ear buds that seal the ear canal, the Arc 5 sit outside the ear, a format often preferred for comfort and environmental awareness. Cleer has adjusted the physical design compared to its earlier Arc 3 model, introducing slimmer and lighter ear hooks intended to reduce pressure during extended use while maintaining stability.
There is also a noticeable shift in how the earbuds are managed day to day. The charging case includes an AMOLED display, allowing users to control playback, check battery levels and adjust equaliser settings directly from the case. The approach mirrors a growing trend among premium earbuds that seek to reduce reliance on companion apps.
Battery life is another area where Cleer is making a strong claim. The Arc 5 are rated for up to 60 hours of total playback, with a quick charge feature that provides around two hours of listening from a brief five-minute charge. The earbuds also carry an IPX7 rating, offering protection against water exposure such as rain or sweat, which may appeal to users who wear them during workouts or outdoor activity.

Taken together, the Arc 5 reflect a broader push in the wireless audio market to blend comfort-focused design with more advanced sound processing. For now, Cleerâs latest release suggests that open-ear formats are being treated less as a compromise and more as a platform for feature-rich listening.
