INTERNATIONAL DESK: A new dawn of development is now set in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370. The abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, which had conferred ‘special status’ on Jammu & Kashmir, has led to “unprecedented development, progress, security and stability to the region. People now believe that things have changed for good in J&K after the abrogation of Article 370.
Jammu and Kashmir has received a significant boost in industrial development after 2019 with the submission of 5,973 proposals from both domestic and international industrial houses, amounting to a total investment of Rs 80,122 crore. While all this happens we hope the fragile ecological environment of the valley is taken into consideration and only those companies which do not violate the ecological balance of valley are allowed to function.
Besides, we can not lose sight of the highly skilled homesick Kashmiris working in key positions in various metropolitan cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai. We have a huge army of software developers in Bengaluru, or people working in core IT projects in Hyderabad. These young men and women have the requisite skill and temperament to launch their own start-ups. All they need is a bid of basic funding and IT support to launch their dreams in orbits. Kashmir needs more start-ups. Kashmir needs new companies launched by skilled young men and women. Above all Kashmir needs its own little Silicon Valley where every kind of support is provided to newbies or greenhorns to chase their dreams. (TGK)
