Nurix AI acquired Verloop.io, folding the enterprise conversational AI company into its voice automation platform. The move consolidates two different approaches to customer interaction: voice AI and chat automation now operate under one roof.

Verloop.io was handling more than 20 million customer interactions monthly before the acquisition. The company built chat automation tools for customer service, handling everything from basic FAQ responses to complex issue resolution. Nurix brings voice technology—the piece Verloop was missing.

Together, they create a platform that handles customer conversations across voice calls, chatbots, and messaging apps. That’s the full customer service funnel. Companies can route incoming calls to voice AI, then hand off to chat automation for follow-ups, all within one system.

Why This Matters for India

India is becoming a hub for AI customer service automation. Companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google outsource support to India anyway. Nurix and Verloop are building the automation layers that could eventually replace offshore support teams.

This isn’t about eliminating jobs immediately. It’s about productivity. Support teams using these tools handle 10 times more customers per person. They focus on complex cases while AI handles routine questions. That’s a long-term shift in how customer service gets delivered.

Middle East Expansion
