Oppo has begun detailing its upcoming Find X9 Ultra, placing clear emphasis on camera performance as the central upgrade. In a recent announcement, the company outlined a multi-lens system that leans heavily on high-resolution sensors and improved light capture, alongside continued collaboration with Hasselblad.

At the core of the device is a 200-megapixel main camera, which Oppo describes as an âultra-sensingâ unit. The company claims its light intake approaches that of a one-inch sensor, with a modest 10 percent improvement over the previous generation. That focus on light sensitivity appears consistent across the entire camera setup.
A second 200-megapixel sensor is dedicated to 3x telephoto shots, tuned primarily for portrait photography. Oppo says this lens brings a 36 percent increase in light intake, suggesting an effort to improve clarity and depth in mid-range zoom scenarios. Alongside it sits a 50-megapixel telephoto camera capable of 10x optical zoom, with a focal length equivalent of 230mm.
For wider shots, the device includes a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, which is also said to benefit from a 56 percent boost in light intake. Oppo is pairing these hardware upgrades with what it calls a new generation âTrue Color Cameraâ system, claiming up to 43 percent better light sensitivity across the board.
On the front, the phone is expected to carry a 50-megapixel selfie camera, with a notable increase in pixel count compared to earlier models.
The company has also confirmed plans for an external telephoto kit designed for professional use. This accessory includes 16 precision optical elements housed in an all-metal build, developed in line with Hasselbladâs imaging standards. A newly introduced orange Quick button is positioned on the device, likely offering shortcuts to camera-related functions.
Separately, a listing on a certification platform, later removed, pointed to additional specifications. The Find X9 Ultra may feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3,168 by 1,440 pixels, and support for a 144Hz refresh rate. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is also expected.
The device is likely to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Battery capacity is said to reach 7,050mAh, with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Software is expected to be based on Android 16 with ColorOS 16.
Storage configurations could range from 12GB RAM with 256GB storage up to a 16GB and 1TB variant. The highest-end model may include satellite connectivity and come bundled with a Hasselblad-branded accessory kit in select finishes.
Oppo plans to launch the Find X9 Ultra simultaneously in China and global markets. In China, it will be introduced alongside the Find X9s Pro. The device is expected to carry multiple durability certifications, including IP68 and IP69 ratings, and feature additional hardware elements such as dual stereo speakers and an infrared blaster.

The picture emerging is of a device built around imaging flexibility, with Oppo placing equal weight on hardware upgrades and accessory expansion. How that translates into real-world performance will become clearer once the device reaches users.
