Oppo has disclosed a clearer picture of its upcoming K15 Pro series just hours before the devices are formally introduced in China, outlining a pair of phones that lean heavily on thermal management and battery capacity rather than cosmetic upgrades alone.

At the centre of the announcement are two models, the K15 Pro and the K15 Pro Plus. Both devices will ship with an integrated cooling fan built into the chassis, a feature still uncommon outside niche performance-focused smartphones. Oppo says the fan system is paired with LED lighting on the rear, suggesting the company is positioning the devices with a certain visual identity tied to sustained performance.
The standard K15 Pro is confirmed to run on the Dimensity 8500 Super chipset. Oppo is combining that with a large vapor chamber and the active cooling fan, which carries an IPX9 rating. That level of water resistance for a moving internal component stands out, particularly as it comes alongside the phoneâs broader IP69 certification.
On the front, the K15 Pro uses a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Power comes from a 7,500mAh battery, with support for 80W wired charging. The camera setup remains relatively straightforward: a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultrawide, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
Oppo is offering the device in four finishes, including Cyber Wings and Golden Legend, alongside Origin Gray and Photodust. Storage configurations are limited to 12GB of RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
The K15 Pro Plus moves further into high-end territory, led by the Dimensity 9500s processor. Its display grows to 6.78 inches and increases the refresh rate to 165Hz, while also incorporating an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Battery capacity climbs to 8,000mAh, with faster 100W charging support. Despite the larger footprint, the camera system is pared back slightly, retaining a 50-megapixel main sensor and 8-megapixel ultrawide, alongside the same 16-megapixel front camera seen on the standard model.
Like its sibling, the Pro Plus carries an IP69 rating and includes the same fan-based cooling approach. Color options are fewer, dropping the Golden Legend variant but keeping the other finishes intact.

Oppo has held back pricing and release timelines until the official launch event later today. For now, the focus remains on the companyâs attempt to blend durability, thermal performance, and battery life into a segment that is often driven by thinner designs and incremental changes.
