OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G Review: Compact Flagship With 200MP Camera

By MD Arif MiaMarch 16, 20264 Mins Read

The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G is entering the premium smartphone segment with a rare approach in 2026: flagship hardware inside a compact body. The device combines a 6.32-inch display, a large 6,200mAh battery, and a high-resolution 200MP camera system.

The launch places the OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G among a small group of compact phones still offering full flagship-level specifications. Manufacturers in recent years have largely moved toward larger devices, leaving few options for users who prefer smaller phones.

A compact design that still carries flagship hardware

The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G features a 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel reaches up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, allowing clear outdoor visibility when shooting photos or viewing content in direct sunlight.

The phone measures about 7.65mm in thickness and weighs around 187 grams. That makes it lighter than many flagship devices that now exceed 200 grams due to larger camera systems and batteries.

The build uses an aluminum frame designed to balance strength and weight. The back panel includes a nano-etched glass design that creates subtle light reflections and reduces fingerprint visibility.

The device also carries multiple durability ratings. IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications indicate protection against dust, water immersion, and high-pressure water exposure.

Camera system focused on portraits and creative content

The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G includes a triple-camera setup led by a 200-megapixel main sensor. The system also includes a 50-megapixel telephoto lens and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

Pixel binning is used by default to combine smaller pixels into larger ones. This improves light capture and helps maintain detail in low-light conditions.

The telephoto lens offers roughly 3.5x optical zoom. That focal length is often considered ideal for portrait photography because it produces natural facial proportions.

The front camera has a 100-degree field of view. This allows wider selfies and group photos without needing a selfie stick.

AI photography tools and creator-focused features

Several AI tools support image capture and editing on the OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G. Reno PureTone processing analyzes lighting conditions when a photo is taken to balance subjects with the surrounding environment.

AI editing features include portrait enhancement, reflection removal, motion correction, and automated collage creation. These tools are designed to reduce manual editing steps before sharing photos online.

The phone also supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second across multiple lenses. Users can switch between cameras during recording without stopping the video.

Performance, battery life, and software support

The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor built on a 4-nanometer architecture. The device includes 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.

Benchmark results place the phone in the flagship performance category. In real-world use, it handles multitasking, photo editing, and extended video recording without major slowdowns.

Battery capacity reaches 6,200mAh, which is unusually large for a compact phone. The device supports 80W fast charging, allowing partial charging in minutes and a full charge in under an hour.

Software support is another highlight. OPPO states the Reno15 series will receive five Android version upgrades and six years of security updates.

The OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini 5G demonstrates that compact phones can still deliver flagship features. With a large battery, advanced cameras, and long software support, the device targets users who want high performance without carrying a larger smartphone.
