The historical drama *Raja Shivaji*, led by Riteish Deshmukh, is beginning to show signs of a slowdown at the box office after a strong start over its opening weekend. Early figures from its fifth day indicate a sharp dip in collections, reflecting a familiar weekday trend following initial audience turnout.

On its fourth day, the film brought in Rs 5.6 crore from 5,145 screenings, marking a significant fall from its Sunday earnings of Rs 12 crore. The drop, calculated at just over 53 percent, pulled down the filmâs pace after what had been a steady opening run. Even so, the cumulative figures remained solid at that stage, with gross collections reaching Rs 39.50 crore and domestic net standing at Rs 46.95 crore.
By Day 5, the slowdown became more pronounced. Early estimates suggest the film collected around Rs 0.28 crore net while running across 1,143 shows. This takes the total India gross to Rs 47.28 crore and the net collection to Rs 39.78 crore so far. Final figures for the day are still awaited.
Language-wise performance continues to show a clear divide. The Marathi version remains the stronger contributor, accounting for approximately Rs 4.25 crore of the Day 4 earnings. In contrast, the Hindi version brought in around Rs 1.35 crore despite having nearly double the number of shows.
Occupancy figures underline this difference in audience engagement. Marathi screenings, though fewer at 1,735, recorded an overall occupancy of 42 percent. The Hindi version, spread across 3,410 shows, managed about 11 percent occupancy.
The Marathi (2D) version also showed a gradual rise in viewership through the day. Morning shows opened at 12.17 percent occupancy, climbing to 39.83 percent by the afternoon. Evening and night shows maintained stronger turnout, peaking at 46.67 percent, suggesting steady audience interest through word-of-mouth.
The film traces the early life of Shivaji Bhosale and his efforts against ruling powers in the pursuit of Hindavi Swarajya. Alongside Riteish Deshmukh, the cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Boman Irani, Amol Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh.
