SSC MTS Havaldar Result 2025 declared, 8,071 shortlisted for PET

By Abul KalamAugust 5, 20262 Mins Read

The Staff Selection Commission declared the results of the Multi-Tasking Non-Technical Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) Examination 2025 on Tuesday, publishing the outcome on its official website, ssc.gov.in, according to Careers360.

The computer-based exam was held across the country between February 4 and 20, 2026. SSC said 36,19,834 candidates applied for the two posts, while 8,04,633 candidates actually appeared for the test.

Because the exam ran across multiple shifts, the commission normalized scores using its standard formula to account for any difficulty variation between sessions before finalizing the result.

A total of 8,071 candidates have been shortlisted for the Havaldar post’s Physical Efficiency Test and Physical Standard Test, which will determine their further eligibility for that role. The category-wise breakdown shows 3,136 candidates from the unreserved category, 1,659 from OBC, 945 from the combined Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities category, 882 from SC, 840 from EWS and 609 from ST.

Candidates who clear the computer-based exam but do not qualify in the physical tests will not be considered further for the Havaldar post, though they remain in contention for MTS positions if they are shortlisted separately for that role, the commission clarified.

SSC said the first round of tentative candidate allocation covering both MTS and Havaldar posts will be announced together, but only after the physical efficiency and standard tests for Havaldar candidates are completed.

The MTS and Havaldar exam is among the most heavily subscribed recruitment drives run by the commission each year, given the minimal eligibility requirements and the wide geographic spread of posts across government departments, including the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs and the Central Bureau of Narcotics.

Candidates can check their individual results and shortlisting status by logging into the SSC’s regional or national portal using their registration details.

The Havaldar Result 2025 shows the computer-based exam comprised two sessions, one with 40 questions worth 120 marks and another with 50 questions worth 150 marks, with three marks awarded for each correct answer and a penalty of one mark for wrong answers in Session II only. Candidates were shortlisted for the Havaldar PET/PST in a 1:7 ratio against 1,153 sanctioned Havaldar vacancies, based on normalized Session II scores, using the formula SSC had published in a notice dated June 2, 2025.
