Sunseeker is showing two new LiDAR robot mowers at IFA 2026, pairing all-wheel drive with three-dimensional mapping and a connected lawn-care system. The S7 LiDAR Ultra AWD 3000 and S5 LiDAR Ultra Pro AWD 1800 are part of the company’s 2027 range displayed in Berlin from September 4 through September 8.

Sunseeker’s IFA announcement says both models use AllSense 3.0, a sensing system that combines 360-degree LiDAR with AI vision. The company says the hardware can map a working area and identify obstacles while the mower moves. LiDAR measures distance with reflected light, which gives a robot a way to build a spatial map instead of relying only on a camera view.
The two models are aimed at different lawn sizes. Sunseeker rates the S7 for areas of up to 3,000 square meters and the S5 for areas of up to 1,800 square meters. Those figures are manufacturer ratings. They do not establish how either mower will perform on every garden, surface or slope.
The mowers also use MapOS, which Sunseeker describes as a 3D semantic map. The system is intended to represent the lawn as more than a simple boundary. The company says the map can help the mower understand the real scene, plan routes and manage separate working areas.
Sunseeker says the S7 can handle slopes of up to 80 percent, or about 39 degrees, and uses a 35-centimeter dual-disc cutting system. The S5 is also designed for steep ground and adds a cut-to-edge approach for trimming closer to lawn borders. These are stated specifications, not independent field-test results.
The company is also linking the mowers to a Smart Garden ecosystem. Sunseeker says the system can bring together mower data, rainfall, weather conditions, soil information and lawn-health signals. A connected system could help coordinate mowing with outdoor conditions, but the company has not published an independent study showing how much water, energy or maintenance a household would save.
The S7 and S5 are being presented as products for gardens that need navigation without a conventional positioning base station. The usefulness of that design will depend on local obstacles, satellite or network conditions, garden layout and the quality of the mower’s map. Sunseeker has not supplied a universal retail price or shipping timetable in the sources reviewed for this report.
IFA visitors can see the models during the Berlin exhibition, while buyers will need to wait for market-specific availability and final pricing. The current announcement confirms the product names, mapping approach, lawn-size ratings and planned range position. It does not replace independent testing of cutting consistency, safety, battery endurance or long-term software support.
