Early signs suggest that the Xbox Full Screen Experience is about to expand to another Windows handheld. This time, the focus is on devices from Lenovo, whose Legion Go lineup appears to be next in line to receive the gaming interface introduced by Microsoft last year.

Confirmation came through a brief but notable post from Lenovo’s Senior Global Gaming Manager, Ben Green, shared on X. Green indicated that testing of the Xbox Full Screen Experience, often shortened to FSE, has begun for the Legion Go family of handheld gaming PCs.
The development follows Microsoft’s initial rollout of the interface in June 2025. At launch, the company limited the feature to a small group of devices, most notably the ROG Xbox Ally and the more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X. Those handhelds were the first to ship with the Xbox-style interface built directly into the Windows gaming environment.
Since then, Microsoft has gradually widened support, allowing other Windows-based handheld gaming systems to adopt the same experience. The interface is designed to make handheld PCs behave more like a dedicated console, presenting games and system functions in a full-screen environment tailored for controllers and smaller displays.
For Legion Go users, the rollout is beginning with a limited early test rather than a full release. According to the information shared by Lenovo, participants can apply to join the program through a sign-up page hosted on Gleam.
The process is straightforward. Owners of either the original Lenovo Legion Go or the upcoming Lenovo Legion Go 2 can submit their email address through the registration page. If selected, they will receive further instructions explaining how to install and enable the Xbox Full Screen Experience on their handheld device.
Lenovo has also advised prospective testers to make sure their system software is updated to the latest available version before attempting to install the interface. The early access program will allow the company to collect user feedback and address technical issues before the feature reaches a broader audience.
For now, Lenovo has not shared a timeline for a wider public rollout. The only immediate deadline relates to the testing program itself. The Gleam sign-up page indicates that submissions will close roughly 45 hours from the time the announcement was noted, giving interested Legion Go owners a limited window to apply.

Until then, the testing phase will determine how the Xbox Full Screen Experience performs on Lenovo’s handheld hardware. For users of the Legion Go line, it represents the first opportunity to try the console-style interface ahead of a wider release.
